Issues with keyboard and mouse functionality.
Issues with keyboard and mouse functionality.
Hi, everyone. I assembled the PC using the specifications provided. When I press the power button, it starts up, but the keyboard and mouse aren't responding (HDMI and DP worked at first). I tried several things:
1. Using USB 2.0 ports
2. Resetting CMOS
3. Changing everything
Still nothing. Please help. This is my first build and I'm not very experienced.
Fortunately, I used one of my friends' motherboards (MSI A620M-AYW) to test other parts—they're fine, but the A620M-AYW doesn't have a 5V D connector for the air cooler.
I really appreciate any advice. Thanks.
the cpu isn't included in the compatibility list, it may not work. you could try updating the bios instead.
If the display isn't showing the bios, try updating it again. Let me know if you need further help.
Cooler operates at 12V DC, 5V may be limited to ARGB lights and can function independently, while MB supports 3 x Addressable Gen 2 headers rated at 5V, which can also power lights. Refer to manual item 11. Are your keyboard and mouse connected by cable? Remove the GPU and attempt a direct connection to MB; if issues persist, consider using the CPU as an IGPU. BIOS confirms compatibility with 7600x since it's from the 7000 series and uses an AM5 motherboard. RAM should not interfere with display performance—re-seat it and test with a single stick if needed. Reset CMOS after any adjustments.
