Issues with instability on AM5 using 9800X3D
Hello, I just got new components and can not get them to work properly. Asus rog strix b650e-f gaming wifi Ryzen 7 9800X3D G.skill 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30 Trident (F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N) I had Asrock b650 PG lightning and i could not get it to post whatever i tried, got red light CPU and yellow on DRAM. I got Asus rog strix b650e-f gaming hoping it was a defect MB and with this i could atleast get it to post after ALOT of tries. Only way i can get it to post is with no expo/or changes with memory at all and from a "cold boot", meaning if i restart the computer it instantly makes all fans go full speed and gets stuck on yellow DRAM, but if i turn off completely and start it boots up. So every time i do something in BIOS and "save and exit" it gets stuck with yellow dram light and i have to turn if off. If i do any memory changes it instantly dies and starts up in bios "safe mode" What i have tried: The three newest bios for both motherboards im currently on 3057 Tried all the ram slots with 1 stick Loosened the cpu cooler pressure Played around with higher memory voltage Waited 10hours on the yellow dram light incase it is memory training Enable and disable memory context restore Booted without gpu and hdd Ran OCCT test no errors I have got good cooling and a 850w Corsair PSU. One abnormal thing i can see is that the RAM have different voltages, and the stick closer to the cpu is hotter (see attached picture). I tried to manually set the voltage but its still the same difference with about 0.1v. Sorry for super long thread but guys im lost, pls help! Any ideas?
I've tested both sticks alone, and they perform similarly. Unfortunately, I don't have another set to try.
