Issues with I7 5775C RAM performance
I recently bought an i7 5775c paired with my ASUS Z97 Pro gaming motherboard. I currently have 16GB of HyperX Fury 1866MHz DDR3 RAM. After installing the new CPU, the system failed to boot. Once I cleared a few components, it worked properly. I’m struggling to get the system to start with more than two RAM sticks installed. I checked the 5775c specs and Intel guidelines say it requires DDR3L at 1.35V. My kit uses 1.5V, but others claim it shouldn’t matter. Even though the Xeon E3 1220 V3 runs perfectly with all RAM installed, I’m unsure if the motherboard or RAM is faulty. Should I upgrade to DDR3L memory, or are there other steps I can take with my current setup? My specs include the i7-5775c, Z97 Pro, 16GB HyperX, GTX 1080 Ti, A400, 240GB SSD, WD Blue 1TB, and a Thermaltake cooler. The case is RGB without a chassis yet.
