Issues with HP Omen 30L sound quality
Hi everyone, over the last few months my Omen PC (current Windows 10) has had audio problems that don’t depend on speakers—both analog and USB—but Bluetooth works fine. After a few seconds, the sound starts to crackle or static appears randomly. I’ve checked similar videos on other devices, which seem normal. I repeated the issue with the same video multiple times, but it keeps happening unpredictably. I tried booting from an Ubuntu USB stick, but the volume was too low and hard to adjust, making it tough to tell if the problem is consistent. Upgrading to Windows 11 isn’t possible because Windows Update flags it as unsuitable, while the MSFT compatibility tool says otherwise. Any suggestions? In short, the issue disappeared. The audio works perfectly once more. It seems an HP update caused the problem, and another update nearly a year later resolved it. I’m planning to stop purchasing HP desktops after giving up on their laptops. *I abandoned HP laptops not due to quality problems but because most models were outdated here in Switzerland, parts are hard to find, and the power supply is tricky—requiring a three-prong adapter that complicates travel between Switzerland and the EU. This was especially frustrating since I frequently visit France and Germany.*
