Is Hitman really that heavily optimized or is there an issue with your system? Despite having everything set to ultra, I sometimes experience noticeable stuttering and FPS drops to around 30-50. The stutter tends to happen in busy scenes but can occur occasionally. For example, during a Sapienza episode I played, picking up a cannonball caused significant FPS drops. My GPU stays under 90% usage and the CPU remains around 30-60%. Temperatures are normal. I've updated the drivers and other games aren't causing problems. My setup is an Intel i7 6700 with 16GB DDR4 GTX 1070.

Yes, you can change the API to DX11 or Vulkan instead of DX12.

The 72fps setting could be too far away; consider switching to 60hz and aiming for a 60fps lock instead.
