I'm having an issue with my PC after updating the AMD Radeon HD 8470D yesterday. The first thing I noticed was that when playing any game, the CPU stays at full speed and consistently reports around 5 FPS, even when I'm not gaming or waiting idle. Previously, usage was much lower—around 7% to 12%. In Task Manager, it's always at 100% during games now, which was normal before the update. I can still achieve smooth performance (30–40 FPS for big games) but everything feels sluggish afterward. This is the only tech support I've tried so far, and I'm not sure what else to do. My system specs are known, but I need help figuring this out.

Rollback should be straightforward enough. What does pinning your CPU look like? It could be the game. Where did you obtain your update? This amount of CPU strain suggests something is seriously wrong. It reminds me of prime95. I’m starting to think you might have been compromised.
