You're experiencing occasional freezes in GTA I on your 4690k system, even though others with lower specs are unaffected. The issue seems to be tied to graphics settings, but the problem persists despite lowering them. It's possible that a specific game configuration or driver conflict is causing the instability.

You might consider refreshing the graphics drivers. It's uncertain if this will resolve the issue, but it could work.

Track your RAM usage during the event (MSI Afterburner). I've already posted a separate thread about my problems with its memory consumption. It seems you're experiencing swapping at those brief moments, likely because your system has less available memory than mine. You're noticing a drop from 3.5GB to 3GB or from 7GB to around 5-6GB after a freeze.

I also overlooked the fact that all of my drivers are current.

When I'm using my memory, it's around 80%, yet it doesn't reach 100%.

I faced a comparable issue with memory limits. Unclear if it relates to your situation.

It changes its actions in real time. You notice it releasing a chunk unexpectedly during play, and the same happens with the VRAM.

I will keep an eye on it next time I play and get back to you about it.

From playing, my memory stays consistent and remains around 80%. The same applies to my VRAM, which suggests the issue might not be related to that.
