Issues with GTA 5 performance and stability

Hey there! I just started playing GTA5 on my PC and it keeps freezing and jittering. I think the issue might not be the hardware specs I have—my system has an i5 7600K CPU and a 1070 GPU, and I’m only using 1080p. Anyone have any tips to fix this?

It's been mentioned before that the issue stems from insufficient RAM. GTA V requires more than 8GB, so those under 16GB might need to upgrade.

Thanks! I'm using the game on a HDD with an SSD as the boot device. I also have 16GB of RAM.

It's a 7200 rpm HDD and I've just finished the defragmentation.

I only had a 120GB SSD, but I ran out of money to buy more. With Windows and some other stuff installed, I can’t download it. It’s a bit strange since I know many people who play the game fine on an 8GB RAM hard drive.
