I only attempted to adjust the settings. It seems there’s one specific adjustment that resolved the issue. The low-quality 760 2GB model performs much better once that setting is changed.

I spent roughly 45 minutes checking each setting one by one and trying things out, like turning off two features to see if it helped. I’m really confused about what’s happening here. Did Nvidea just drop an update for my card last Tuesday? Could that be the cause?

Consider shutting everything down to its simplest state and gradually increasing the settings afterward. It may be a bit cumbersome, but it works. Alternatively, you might want to use the GeForce Experience program to let NVIDIA fine-tune the performance from there.
