I had to reinstall Windows on my SSD since my PC was acting up. My GTA copy was on a different drive, so I wasn’t too concerned. Being in Australia, the download speeds were terrible. When I tried to open GTA, it kept trying to re-download everything. All 60 gigabytes were on the main drive and it refused to finish. It really worried me because it not only blocked my internet but took days to complete. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for a feature to confirm local data availability? Yes, there is an option labeled "Check for local data."

I don't see it clearly. Where exactly are you looking for it?

Currently at work means I can't test it directly, but I recall the option is likely labeled "Verify integrity of game cache." Right-click on GTA in Steam and check. If you're using Steam, that should do it.

Have you considered changing the installation spot to the existing one?
