Hello everyone, I'm trying to locate solutions but things are getting tough. The title suggests I'm facing performance issues in GTA V. I've reached out to Rockstar support, but their responses seem generic and copy-paste. After playing for a few minutes to several hours, the game starts lagging and stutters. I'm unsure what's causing it and hope for a fix. Here are my PC specs: Intel i5 3570 @ 3.4 GHz, Asus AMD R9 380X, 4 GB STRIX OC, 1 TB WDC HDD, 7200rpm, 8 GB RAM, 1600Mhz.

I understand it's simple, but have you reduced the graphics settings? Perhaps try decreasing your game's resolution.

I reduced the graphics settings and listened to everything at a lower volume, but there was still no difference. Initially, it worked for about minutes or hours, then it started stuttering. I didn’t adjust the resolution either.

Seems like your CPU or GPU might be slowing down because it's getting too warm.

I started MSI Afterburner on the following screen. The GPU reaches 70°C at full load and 63°C under normal use. The CPU stays around 60°C and no further heating occurs.

Open Task Manager and adjust the priority of GTAV to high. This helps with stuttering on your 770.

I would attempt to reinstall the graphics driver and check if that resolves the issue.

Finished adjusting settings: lowered GTALauncher.exe priority, raised GTAV.exe, but it didn’t resolve the issue.

I recently reinstalled Windows 10 and it restored all the drivers, though I’m not sure it’ll fix everything. Appreciate the advice, I’ll definitely give it another shot.

Rockstar also noted that I own a Razer hardware, though it's unclear if that's the issue.
