Hello. Recently I shared some observations about my new laptop's memory usage, and it seemed typical. But after a few hours of charging (about five), I unplugged it and only powered it on for logging in. My battery dropped by three percent, and now it’s at 96%. [MEDIA=imgur] A/DYBiSZI This is my first laptop, so I’m not familiar with its behavior. Should I keep it connected? Another point: after installing Contraband Police from Steam, the system feels slow—no signs of full performance. Do I need to enable any settings or turn on the GPU? Thanks for your time and support. Sorry for the many questions. I just installed Insurgency Sandstorm at maximum settings, but the graphics stuttered. What kind of machine is this? Should I enable the GPU? Also, I’m curious about the laptop’s specs—do I need to activate it or something similar? lol ^ I mentioned this in another forum a few hours back, and now my battery is at 8%. When I tried Insurgency again, I got only 30 frames per second. Not even on the Xbox Series X. Please help! Would you consider rewarding me with a Steam or Amazon Gift Card?

Are you playing on low power? Regarding battery usage, these models come with powerful but inefficient processors, which naturally leads to significant drain. Plus, they don’t offer the largest battery capacity.

Gaming laptops are expected to become more efficient when connected to a power source. They should ideally stay plugged in unless you have a specific reason not to. It creates a dilemma because these devices are designed to operate at minimal power consumption while on battery, which reduces their performance significantly. You can modify the power plan to balance performance and battery life—choosing full performance when connected but accepting shorter runtime. If you need maximum output during gameplay, connect it to the charger. Quick battery drain is typical for high-performance hardware, especially compared to less powerful alternatives. Your screenshot suggests the device prioritizes efficiency, so switching to a power-saving mode will further reduce its performance. For optimal results, consider using a desktop setup, as gaming laptops often sacrifice power for better efficiency, and running them without power can lead to rapid battery depletion. Adjusting power settings can help, but it usually speeds up battery wear.

Stay in performance mode for any gaming activity. Balanced settings are unnecessary.
