Issues with gaming on my RYZEN 5950X
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice. I’m using a RYZEN 5950X with a ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO motherboard, equipped with four 16GB gSkill Trident Z RGB RAM sticks and a 2080IT graphics card. The problem is that when both CCDs are active in most games, my system freezes completely. Sometimes I hear a loud buzzing noise through the speakers, but not always. To keep games stable, I have to switch between modes constantly, which is frustrating. I’d appreciate it if you could help me figure this out. If you need more details, just let me know. Thanks in advance for your support!
Check if the processor or memory has been overclocked, including XMP settings. You have four 16GB sticks. Find out the actual speed they are operating at. Consider taking two sticks out and testing the system—if it functions properly, the memory controller on the processor might be slightly outdated.
System is functioning smoothly with no clock overruns and normal memory performance. I'm still working through this challenge. Heavy rendering or compute tasks with all cores active even during occlusion have always been manageable.
