Issues with games lagging or freezing after just two minutes on a fresh PC.
Recently assembled a system; includes B550M DS3H, R5 5600X, RTX 3060, 16GB Ripjaws V 3600, 700W PSU. Whenever I start a game, within the first two minutes I encounter either a BSOD (VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR) or the game freezes but keeps running while the screen is stuck. All components except the GPU and RAM are new. I suspect it's a software problem, not a hardware fault. I've installed the latest CPU, GPU, and BIOS updates, tried fresh Windows installations, but nothing helped. I'm unsure what to do next—any suggestions or updates needed? I'd prefer not to take it to a repair shop and spend a lot of money.
Make sure the GPU is properly installed and all power connections are secure. Try executing ddu and observe if it improves performance. Did you observe any temperature fluctuations?
GPU problem might stem from driver issues, overheating, a faulty card, a damaged PCI slot, or other factors. Try reseating it first. Check temperatures, lower clock speeds, and use MSI Afterburner to monitor. If that doesn’t resolve the crashing, we’ll discuss further steps.
