Hey everyone, Background: I just set up a new setup with a Ryzen 5 7600x, 32GB DDR5 5600Mhz RAM, and an Asus TUF B650 Plus with Wi-Fi. I reused the GTX 1060 6GB from my previous system along with my existing hard drives. I kept the old OS partition for ease. Since then, my games have started crashing—sometimes after just an hour, other times after minutes. I also experience BSODs occasionally. This wasn’t a problem when I first installed the new hardware. What I’ve tried so far: ran SFC /scannow but found no corrupted files. Ran a Windows memory diagnostic, but nothing came up. Used DDU in safe mode and performed a fresh graphics driver install from Nvidia’s site. Checked the Event Viewer and found some logs that might help. I’m thinking about a clean Windows 11 install, but would appreciate some advice before jumping that route.

I refreshed the BIOS to the newest stable release, which might be the reason. I’ll attempt to revert to the original factory BIOS installation.

I upgraded to a newer version. Did you reinstall Windows for the updated system?

I moved to a newer processor model. No system restore needed.

It seems the problem might be here from the start. A full platform upgrade requires reinstalling Windows, as many files from the previous Intel OS could become corrupted. Switching CPU generations should also be done with a fresh Windows install to prevent BSODs and other issues. I’m pretty sure fixing this will work if you reinstall Windows and install the right AMD drivers.

I have nearly identical specs to yours (7700x, 5600mhz, 32gb RAM) and the same motherboard. I just did a fresh Windows install and everything is running perfectly. How are you doing?
