As you may have heard, there is quite a problem with Windows build 1703 and games stuttering. There is quite a thread over on the GeForce experience forum. I'm putting this in this forum not for help, but mainly for a discussion about if anyone else here experiences this and a discussion about what didn't/did help their issues. The latest (posted yesterday) on the issue directly from Microsoft is below; Based on this it very much makes me believe they are trying to fix the issue, and they may know the cause. Has anyone tried the newest insiders build?

Here are some reasons you might want to upgrade soon:
- The pre-Win10 version is outdated and may lack important features.
- Upgrading ensures better performance and security updates.
- Newer versions often fix bugs and improve stability.
- You'll have access to the latest software improvements and compatibility fixes.

We have an Insider thread for those interested. If you're part of the program but don't have any issues, you can't assist directly. However, it's worth noting that the Fall Creators Update (Redstone 3) is slated for release later this year and is still in refinement. This means you'll likely have a good experience even with the Fast Ring. You can submit bug reports through the feedback hub, and now is a great time to see if the community votes on shared problems—Microsoft will likely address them.

You're curious about the current build status and how it differs from others. To prevent automatic updates, you can adjust your settings in the system preferences or use a manual update method. Let me know if you'd like guidance on that!

It could be 1507, but I’m not certain. I recall rolling back after the 10th anniversary release because of this specific problem.

Assume you're using Windows 1607. You can verify this by pressing Start, entering "winver" and pressing Enter. This opens a window displaying your operating system version.
