You're really struggling, aren't you? It sounds like your system is under a lot of stress. The crashes and freezes are definitely pointing to something hardware-related, especially since you've updated parts and tried various fixes. The PSU and RAM seem to be working, but the graphics card and other components might be the culprits. You're doing everything right—disabling XMP, updating drivers, testing RAM—but nothing sticks. Maybe it's time to test the RAM with a memory diagnostic tool and check for any stuck modules. Also, ensure your PSU can handle the load, especially with the high-end GPU you have. If you can't identify the issue, consider getting a professional diagnosis. You're not alone in this—keep trying, one step at a time.

Review the firmware details on this device. The update announcement mentions a specific version. If you already have that info, avoid attempting repairs—time is critical. Consider replacing the drive or cloning the existing one to recover data.

It's important to mention that devices with 980 Pro SSDs using the 4B2QGXA7 or 5B2QGXA7 firmware remain unaffected by this problem.

The guidelines exclude this option. Consider reinstalling each game if needed, as I had to do that before for platform updates.

I've already done that before, also reinstalled on different drives, and I've updated Windows a few times too. Today I removed the new 980 Pro to test without it, but it still crashes.

It's strange, you've experimented with a lot. The CPU and motherboard remain intact—they were the components altered prior to these issues arising.

I've observed the system needs a considerable amount of time to start—around 40 seconds to reach the ROG splash screen. It's unclear whether the issue stems from software or hardware problems.
