So, Unigine Heaven Benchmark and Overwatch have been functioning well since yesterday afternoon. I'm not sure what caused the issue—I received the nvlddmkm error, left my PC alone, came back after it was put to sleep, and everything worked fine now. I don't know what it is or what I did. I'm currently using Windows 10 version 21H1 with a driver version of 466.79. Try this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/trouble...ate-errors and restart. See if it resolves anything. Other than that, I'm not sure if it will continue working or if it's just a temporary fix.

Thank you for the update—hope it works as a permanent fix! I’ll try it precisely and let you know. I’m guessing you used DDU to uninstall 471 and then returned to 466? Also, did you press that button to reach 21h1?

Yes, that seems to be the cause. I'm unsure if it's related since I encountered problems with both versions 20H2 and 21H1. And yes, I've been using DDU for all driver rollbacks, which is running on 466.79.

Also verify your optional updates. It seems both on my old and new PCs, I downloaded Win10 but skipped the optional update (Intel) since others claimed it caused issues. After installing that optional update, crashes in the Event Viewer ceased. Device Manager also displayed an unknown device. If you have Intel, try it first—check Device Manager and see if the optional update appears for you.

Oh wow yes, I actually have optional updates available. The list is posted below. I think it's the third one from the bottom, which is the A131 update—do you have any recommendations for the others? Also, how has your PC been lately? Are you playing OW and WoW without any problems?

Oh wow, in your situation try updating all those, the one that did it for me would be "Intel - System". It was a driver update that I don't understand why it was listed as "Optional updates" originally.
Things are still functioning properly, I played OW yesterday for about an hour without any issues, and I'm currently downloading WoW to see how it goes.

I updated at 21h1, adjusted the optional updates, and used ddu to downgrade to 466.77. Later I noticed it was supposed to be 466.79, so I re-applied ddu again to uninstall and ended up with 466.79. Both versions still had problems, but I stuck with 79. Finally, I managed around 45 minutes of Genshin gameplay before the same issue appeared in the event viewer log—display driver stopped working and then recovered. Still can't use my second monitor; Windows crashes with a black screen or a DPC_watchdog_violation BSOD. It just freezes and I can't do anything except power it off. Hopefully, Nvidia or Windows will update soon. Thanks for your help and I hope it gets fixed!

Your Device Manager appears to have some unknown devices listed. Have you checked it? You can find more details here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/trouble...ate-errors

my device manager for the GPU shows no unknown devices, but i've already run DISM and SFC without any issues. however, my search button on windows isn't functioning properly now.
