Issues with frame rate during gameplay, unrelated to overheating.
Until recently, my laptop gaming was smooth. Following a Windows 2004 update caused fps to fluctuate between 60 and several other numbers. CPU and GPU temperatures remained stable around 65-75°C. I also tested running games on lower specifications, but performance issues persisted. All drivers and system updates were current, including graphics and display. The hardware itself appears to be functioning properly.
Games: GTA V, FIFA 20, Project Cars 2, Watchdogs 2, etc.
It doesn’t seem to be an HDD/SSD problem since some games on SSD are affected too.
PC Specifications:
HP Pavilion 15, RAM: 8 GB; SSD: 256 GB (OS); HDD: 1 TB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650
CPU: Amd Ryzen 5 3550H with Radeon Vega 8
P.S. Gaming on a laptop isn’t perfect, but the games I’m playing aren’t extremely demanding.

These games aren't the most intense, but they still consume a significant amount of resources. CPU and GPU usage are quite high. You might be running low on memory—many current titles require over 8GB of RAM while playing. You might want to consider upgrading to another 8GB and test the performance. I own an Omen 15 with 8GB, featuring an I7 9750h processor and a GTX1660ti graphics card. It's quite capable for gaming, but for the titles I play, the extra memory caused stuttering and frame drops. After adding more RAM, everything improved instantly.
Hey, thanks for replying. I did check the RAM usage and i dont think thats the issue as it was consistently around 5800 mb.
