Issues with Flight Simulator X on Windows 10 Pro
It's actually just because your AMD CPU runs at 3 GHz and isn't powerful enough for the task. The crashes are expected since it's running FSX.
I have a computer that's been around for six years. Next year I intend to upgrade to a new gaming or editing machine costing between $1500 and $2500.
Don't worry, I'm facing a similar issue. My GPU usage in FSX rarely hits 100%, except around 40k feet while cruising. It's really frustrating. I wish Microsoft would bring back Aces or fix FSX properly in DX12. Not that Flight's attitude where they pushed us for money with incomplete projects.
FSX causes rendering issues when a second monitor is connected, displaying at 1024x768 and showing only the top-left portion on the main screen. I've been forced to switch to windowed mode temporarily. It seems my local airfield has received more attention than mine. Although this setup looked quite different nine years ago, it still presents challenges today.
