Hey everyone,

About two weeks back I began noticing graphical problems in nearly every game I play (some really bad, many just annoying, and none at all in some). The most affected one for me is Cyberpunk. It looks like there’s an aliasing issue that makes edges shimmer, flicker, and move like chainsaw blades—even when I’m not moving. It feels like a persistent problem that keeps showing up on people’s PCs without any official fix yet! I’ve even found a Discord group with over 500 members trying to help since 2013. I’m completely stuck; it makes certain VR games unplayable (like Boneworks).

Here’s what my Cyberpunk setup looks like:
View: https://youtu.be/GGhxVetbNbM

My specs:
- Intel Core i7-7700k (~2 years old)
- Cooled by H100iv2 Corsair Water Cooler
- 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM (~3 years old)
- EVGA GEFORCE RTX 2080 Super (bought 6 months ago)
- Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI motherboard (~3 years old)
- 1080p 144Hz Monitor

What I’ve tried to fix the issue (all of which are either temporary fixes or only work in specific games):
- Raising DLSS in Cyberpunk helps but causes extreme blurriness
- Setting MSAA to 8x in Boneworks seems to help a bit, though it lowers FPS
- Increasing the game’s resolution and then having Nvidia compress it back to 1080p helped temporarily, but led to huge performance drops
- Turning all settings to ULTRA:RAYTRACING in Cyberpunk also helps, but only about 10 FPS

Other attempts that didn’t work at all:
- Almost every setting I changed in the Nvidia control panel had no effect (I tested everything in Cyberpunk where it’s most noticeable)
- A few tweaks in the Nvidia Profile Inspector, like adjusting the LOD negative bias
- Reinstalling Windows via Windows Update
- Completely reformatting the Windows drive and reinstalling Windows through a Windows USB drive
- Using a friend’s GPU (GTX 1070)
- Game install drive (the drive doesn’t seem to matter; SSD/HDD are fine)
- Changing monitor or cable (tried on a 60Hz monitor with HDMI instead of DisplayPort on my main one)
- Reverting to an older graphics driver
- BIOS is up to date

I’ve tried almost everything I could think of, but nothing seems to solve it. It really feels like a hardware issue—would a clean Windows install have fixed this? Please let me know if anyone has any ideas!

Yo, I think the issue is with the PSU.
I put one together using new parts, and when I swapped my PSU to the new mother board, it started acting up.
I note that before installing the new PSU, the original PSU with the new mother looked fine in games.
Format your PC, install a new PSU, connect it, and let me know what you see?
