Issues with Dynamic Refresh Rate?
I'm checking the laptop display, but it seems unrelated because I'm seeing 120hz during browsing, using AutoCAD with the dedicated GPU, etc. When I open Mathcad with integrated GPU, the cursor moves at 60hz. If I type continuously while moving the cursor, the refresh rate returns to 120hz.
It's unusual to rely on the igpu for graphics, as most laptops use a dedicated GPU for demanding tasks and reserve the igpu for other purposes. Are you sure it's using the igpu when performance drops around 120? How is the refresh rate being tracked? Your GPU reports a frame rate of zero, which is impressive but incorrect. Google's information only shows what should be visible if you're using Gsync or Freesync; it doesn't confirm actual performance. Afterburner indicates the game runs at 4 frames per second, which seems low. What does this mean? Although it reflects browser speed, the link provided explains the context.
I monitored the hz by observing cursor movement, which highlights the differences between 60 and 120 Hz. For AutoCAD, for instance, it relies on the RTX 3050; using just the dedicated GPU keeps the display at 120Hz continuously. I wondered if the integrated GPU could achieve the same since it only supports dynamic refresh when connected to an integrated display.
After upgrading to the 3050, it displays a 120hz setting, possibly because the integrated GPU can't handle that frequency. In certain applications, the dynamic refresh rate might switch to a dedicated GPU to achieve 120hz.
this indicates a display setting of 120, which should actually be 120 -

I don't see any solutions. It seems Lenovo should clarify the issue.
It appears the Iris XE Max refresh rate at 1440p is 60Hz unless using HDMI. I couldn't locate any information indicating it supports 120Hz. Is there anything available in the account section?
