I noticed an unusual behavior with Jio Fiber. On my phone, downloading speeds jump to 12mbps as expected, but on my PC they rarely exceed 300kbps. I tested various laptops, thinking maybe the issue was specific to my machine, but it keeps happening across all of them. What might be causing this?

Are they identical torrent files? Yes, variations like different languages or versions can affect how many people join, which in turn influences download speed.

Check if the device is linking via cellular data or Wi-Fi, identify the torrent application in use, confirm if necessary ports have been opened in your operating system firewall and router, and determine whether you're connected through WiFi or Ethernet. Consider switching to Ethernet for a comparison.

I link the PC and phone using Wi-Fi together. The torrent client is identical on both devices, and I'm using uTorrent 2. I've tried various solutions but nothing works. Also, I attempted a LAN cable connection without success.

I don't have a specific make or model of my modem or router. Could you provide those details?

I attempted the lan method once more and achieved speeds between 13 to 14mbps on torrenting. Your home connection is a JioFiber, which comes from the company itself—so it's not available for purchase outside their service unless you subscribe to their internet plan.

You probably face a problem with your wireless connection that needs improvement. ISPs often partner with other firms to build internet gateways tailored to their networks, then add their own branding. The model name should still appear somewhere on the device if you inspect it closely. You might access the admin panel to discover this detail. Usually, you can locate manuals for almost any topic online. The purpose of checking the make/model is to confirm firewall rule adjustments are possible. However, if you can log in independently (like on the Jio Fiber site) and explore the setup, you can verify if port forwarding works.

I recorded my login to the router and attempted port forwarding and bridge mode, but it seems those options are now blocked. I know they didn’t build the router themselves—they outsourced it and cleverly concealed details. Could you let me know what adjustments are needed for the wireless setup so we can achieve the same speed using a LAN cable?

Run a wireless survey using WiFi Analyzer from the MS Store. Capture screenshots of the 'Analyze' page displaying channel analysis for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Take a photo of the wireless settings page in your Jio gateway. Ensure no passwords are visible.
