I've been using Destiny 2 on PC for roughly seven months now, moving from the console. My system RAM sits around 2.1 GB out of a total 16 GB, which is just regular RAM and not VRAM. Do you know if it's possible to boost the game's RAM allocation in Steam or if there are other solutions to this problem? I think having more system RAM would significantly help, since my CPU and GPU are only being used about 50%. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 3600 @ 4.4 GHz all-core OC, 16 GB GDDR6 Ripjaws V 3600 MHz CL16, Radeon RX 5700 XT, a WD Blue 500 GB NVMe SSD (the game is installed there), and a 1 TB Toshiba hard drive. The game runs fine most of the time, but I struggle with around 70 FPS in areas like the Tower, Titan, or parts of Tangled Shore compared to the 130+ FPS elsewhere, especially at higher settings. Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

It's natural for your frame rate to vary based on surroundings and activity. In games like D2, performance can dip during intense scenes with many players and complex environments. When soloing in open areas, I often see stable rates around 125-130 fps at 1440p. Inside detailed interiors or bases with lots of NPCs and effects, drops to the 80s and 90s become common. This doesn't impact gameplay much and is usually unnoticeable. Your system specs are solid for the time—what resolution are you using?

I'm running at a high resolution with motion blur enabled, yet my system's performance remains low—CPU and GPU usage hovering around 25-35%, while only 2-2.5GB of RAM is active. In demanding sections like crowded scenes or detailed environments, the hardware isn't utilizing its full capacity. It seems the game isn't leveraging more frames for the resources I'm using, which makes it confusing why issues arise. I've also enabled Radeon Chill in Destiny 2, which caps the frame rate between 120-144 FPS to match my monitor's refresh rate, preventing extra load.
