I've faced a couple of minor problems with my 9950X3D on Windows 11:
CPU temperatures sometimes rise by about 20 degrees C unexpectedly during certain games, especially Diablo4, and they keep spiking while any system settings window is active, leading to loud fan noise.
Core parking isn't functioning in any of the games, which means I have a powerful CPU but can't utilize its cache effectively.
I managed to reduce the first problem by adjusting my power plan settings to limit maximum CPU usage to 99%.
However, installing Microsoft Game Bar to address core parking actually worsened the situation. It resolved the second issue about core parking but made the first one much more severe, and it somehow overrode my power plan adjustment. Now every game consistently shows a temperature increase of roughly 20 degrees C. Previously, at lower CPU temperatures (around 50-60°C), everything ran smoothly, but now it's around 70°C minimum, sometimes reaching 80°C. This rise doesn't seem to improve performance and may even cause stuttering. I can't find a way to uninstall Game Bar.
I understand that a CPU temperature of 80°C isn't a major concern by itself, but this 20-degree increase appears unrelated to the workload and is making my system extremely noisy, making it hard to hear in-game sounds.
I'm wondering if anyone has experience with similar issues on AMD CPUs in Windows 11 and has any advice or solutions I could try.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Have you tried undervolting for your processor? If not, this guide is a good read. Is the iGPU turned off? I just noticed the motherboard you're using... what BIOS version do you have for your ASRock board?
I haven't undervolted the CPU, I'll check it out.
I believe the integrated GPU isn't turned off, I'll attempt that.
BIOS version is 3.30.
