Issues with connecting to CS:GO
I won’t be wasting time talking about it. Except for that, I’ll note that during the three games tonight, everyone started with ping above 250. After a while, things stabilized to normal levels. What I actually need is some guidance and advice for someone with poor connection like me. The link you shared shows my results: 80 ping on average in regular play, but 73 during a speed test to my ISP—so it seems reasonable from my side. The main issue is the sudden drops in performance, especially at 80 ping. I experience constant interruptions (rubber banding) that pull me back without affecting my gameplay. There’s no FPS loss or warning messages on the graph, just these abrupt changes. It doesn’t seem to be due to others watching; it’s more about my own connection. Usually I get 200 FPS on maps, but only around 120 when using a smoke effect. I’m trying to improve raw connections, but they had to cut my speed by 5 Mbps to avoid losing internet for 30 minutes every hour. I’m hoping for a small improvement without breaking stability. In the meantime, any tips or tricks to boost connection or reduce interruptions would be appreciated. Thanks a lot, -Moose.
