Hello, I recently received a quest 2 and purchased a third-party cable for SteamVR. The main issue is that the cable only displays 2.0, not 3.0 or higher. The Oculus PC app shows it as 2.0, but the test reaches 335Mb/s. USBView reports that the 3.0 port controller failed to enumerate, with errors like "bLength of 0 incorrect, should be 18", "Low Speed Devices require bMaxPacketSize0 = 8" and "No open pipes!". This problem also occurs with my Samsung S21U, which is a 3.1 generation 1 device. It uses a 6m Type-C to Type-C cable that should support up to 5Gb/s speeds. My main concern is whether the cable length is too long or if signal loss is excessive at that distance. I can't confirm if my port is faulty since I only have a Type-C port on the motherboard and don’t want to spend money on a converter if the cable is defective. Also, my friends don’t have 3.0+ devices, and I’ve read similar issues with the Microsoft USB driver but not with the motherboard driver. The only solution I’ve tried is installing the motherboard USB drivers, but Microsoft simply uses its own drivers instead. I’m unsure whether to return the cable and buy a new one, use a converter, or try software fixes. Thanks for your help.
