Hi everyone!
I've been experiencing significant system instability since upgrading my RAM, and I'm running out of options. I'm reaching out for some guidance on what might be going on.

System Details:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- GPU: Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060
- Motherboard: ASRock A320M-HDV R4.0, BIOS v10.31
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200 CL16
- Power Supply: Corsair RM650
- Drives: 1x M.2 (Windows), 1x HDD (old Windows install, recently formatted)
- OS: Windows 11 22H2 / Build 26100 (new installation)

Issues I'm Encountering
- Regular BSODs (codes 0x50, 0x1A, 0x12B – all memory-related)
- GPU crashes and TDR resets (LiveKernelEvent 141, ID 153 from nvlddmkm)
- System restarts without a dump file (Kernel-Power Event ID 41)
- AppCrash in SystemSettingsAdminFlows.exe (code c0000005)
- Dump creation often fails with error: “Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation.” BugCheckProgress: 0x81

What I've Attempted
- Disabled XMP/DOCP → RAM running at 2133 MHz
- Reinstalled NVIDIA drivers (various versions, Game Ready + Studio)
- Monitored temperatures – GPU and CPU stay below 80°C
- Ran sfc /scannow and DISM – no corruption found
- Formatted old Windows HDD
- Fresh Windows 11 installation

Still facing reboots, crashes, and GPU driver timeouts.

Questions / What I Need Assistance With
- Might this be a faulty RAM module, even at 2133 MHz?
- Is the A320 board adequate for this setup (5800X + RTX 4060)? Could VRMs or PCIe issues be the cause?
- Is there any possibility the GPU or PSU is defective despite passing basic tests?
- Why does Windows struggle to generate dump files even during severe crashes?
- Any suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated. I’m thinking about replacing RAM, the motherboard, or the GPU, but I want to avoid extra costs.

Thanks ahead of time!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
The problem you're experiencing seems linked to your RAM, the integrated memory controller, the board, or possibly all three.

RAM:
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200 CL16
What type of RAM were you using before?
Could this be a faulty RAM module, even at 2133 MHz?
It might help to try the same RAM on another known working motherboard with the latest BIOS to determine if the issue persists.
Also, consider reverting to your previous RAM to see if the problem is resolved.

Drives:
1x M.2 (Windows), 1x HDD (old Windows installation, recently formatted)
Are you certain there are no leftover remnants from older OS partitions on the HDD?
Would installing the operating system with only the SSD connected to the motherboard work?

Thank you for your prompt reply! Earlier, I wanted to highlight a point:
I upgraded my RAM because I was already experiencing BSODs with my old Patriot 8GB DDR4-2666 CL19 stick — issues like MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. I thought it might be a faulty stick, so I switched to the Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3200MHz CL16 kit.
However, things actually deteriorated after the upgrade.
Now I’m noticing:
Frequent BSODs (0x1A, 0x50, 0x12B)
GPU crashes and TDR resets (LiveKernelEvent 141)
Occasional “dump file creation failed” errors (BugCheckProgress 0x81)
Even core Windows apps like SystemSettingsAdminFlows.exe crashing with c0000005
At this stage, I’m beginning to suspect it’s not just the RAM — perhaps the motherboard or the CPU memory controller is the issue. I wanted to include this context in case it’s useful.
