I recently assembled a PC around four months ago. Today I encountered an issue that didn’t resolve on my own. On this AM5 board, the startup cycle consistently lasts five minutes every two to three weeks. I initially attributed this to the new platform. Usually I wait that duration or try pressing the power button once more before attempting another boot, which sometimes restarts the process normally. Today it happened again. After turning it off and restarting, the mainboard’s power LED continues blinking at roughly two hertz. Following the manual, this indicates a "DRAM overclocking failed" error on page 40. First, what does BFD mean? Second, I waited about thirty minutes without any change. I followed standard troubleshooting steps—testing with a single RAM module (32GB Gskill Flare 6000MHz, EXPO ready), resetting the BIOS several times using a jumper and battery, and running the onboard graphics (R5 7600) without a dedicated GPU in the PCIe slot. I suspect it’s not related to my power supply since it’s a fresh SF750 unit, which is generally reliable. I’m unsure what to do next. My only option seems to let the system run for an extended period and see if it stabilizes on its own. I’ve heard that in rare cases, DDR5 systems may take over 30 minutes to boot after a BIOS reset. At my first boot four months ago, it took about fifteen minutes. Thank you for your help.

It might work better to turn off the DDR5 memory training. Adjust the BIOS settings as shown: (ensure it's enabled) Extreme Tweaker > DRAM Timing Control > Memory Context Restore -> Enabled

It looks like i forgot to mention it. Can get no post at all. By now I also tried booting without GPU and Drive. I also reseated all ram in all slots in all possible options.

Leave the bios battery for an hour, disconnect power supply, then reassemble and retry.

It has been disconnected for two hours yet no changes in behavior. I requested a spare mainboard along with debug LEDs and some RAM to diagnose the issue. It’s difficult for me to accept that hardware problems exist, but I’m stuck now. All the components are only a few months old, so the warranty might cover a replacement if needed. Still, thank you for your assistance.
