I own a Lenovo G570. My CD/DVD drive disappeared from Windows Explorer (Win 7 Home Basic, 64-bit). After checking the BIOS (Insydeh2o rev. 3.5), it wasn’t listed either. But when I pressed the eject button, it powered on and spun up inside. I also tried using Linux Debian with a USB live persistence setup and a root user on the same machine. No connection to the drive issue was found. I haven’t found any solution online yet. Please help.
