I purchased the premium version of Battlefield 4 recently and have encountered some problems. Right after starting each session, it switches into a slideshow mode. The game doesn’t run smoothly on Fraps, so I can’t provide precise frame rates. I attempted several solutions via the provided link—except for step four—which initially helped but failed again the next day. Additionally, I observed that the game only consumes 1 to 2.5 gigabytes of RAM in the task manager, even when using the 64-bit version. My system specs are: FX-6300 at stock R9-270 boosted to 1GHz, 2x4GB Kingston Hyper-X Blue 1600MHz, ASUS M5A97 with R2.0 graphics, 1TB HDD storage. I’m currently running Catalyst 15.4, using Mantle as the default API, with high and ultra settings active and displaying 1366x768 resolution.

The best advice is to avoid pushing the mantle too hard, since BFH performance was actually worse. You might also consider slightly reducing your graphics settings and observe the impact.

Enter "perfoverlay.drawfps 1" in the console to check your FPS. Share your result with me.

I disabled the gaming evolved program since it kept interfering with my preferences, and everything functioned properly afterward. It adapts to any game you play unless you use its preset configurations, which is what occurred here. I also set the FPS command in the console, achieving between 40 and 80 on ultra settings with 4x MSAA on most maps.

Open Nvidia control panel. Adjust 3D settings. Switch power management to prioritize peak performance. This suggestion came up a while back and seems effective.

I don't suggest using Raptr for any purpose. It could overload your GPU beyond its capabilities.

I'm testing bf4 on ultra without any issues; my point is that raptr affects performance across different games unless you remove it entirely. I faced the same problem with bf3, where I usually get over 100 FPS on ULTRA settings unless I used raptr, which would cause the game to run at single-digit frames.

I've experienced the same problem and tried using a different method—it caused frame drops in the low 30s and frequent micro stutters. Check out this video for a solution that boosted my FPS in BF4.
