It's surprising when a game runs smoothly with your specs but still lags. Check your system settings, update drivers, and ensure you're not running too many background apps.

Maybe you could share your lenses and performance details. If we commit to delivering quality, we can ensure it meets your expectations.

CPU, GPU, RAM, storage type, and whether you're experiencing lag in FPS or stuttering. This info will help identify the issue with BF2042.

Your laptop specs are listed: RTX 3070, Intel i7-12700H, 16GB RAM, running on an SSD. You’re unsure about setting up an FPS counter.

In Origin/EA App: Settings, In-Game, turn on FPS counter. In Steam if you play through Steam: Steam, Settings, In-Game, enable FPS counter select position on screen. In Battlefield 2042 directly: Open console press key and type PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1. This displays FPS on screen. Option: Use MSI Afterburner with RivaTuner for advanced stats like FPS, temps, usage, etc. Since you’re using a laptop 3070, ensure it’s in performance mode and the game uses the dedicated GPU not Intel iGPU. Also, verify RAM usage—16GB is the minimum for BF2042, so closing background apps can help.

Have you experimented with adjusting the graphics options?

Are you skipping laptop power mode? Even desktop impacts matter. The Laptop 3070 is really just a rebranded 3060—check benchmarks for 3060 performance, not 3070. That naming trick is suspicious; I hope NVIDIA would change it.
