Issues with Asus X370-F Gaming drivers on Windows Server 2019 installation
I've been facing difficulties updating my home server to older hardware components: a Ryzen 1700x and an Asus Strix x370-F Gaming. When I start Windows Server, no network or audio drivers appear in Device Manager. I was confused about why these essentials disappeared after backups, so I reinstalled Windows Server 2019, hoping the installation might have gone wrong. Unfortunately, the problem continued. I attempted to download and install drivers from Asus directly, but received a "OS not supported" error. Can it truly be that this motherboard doesn't support a Windows Server installation? Would switching back to Windows 10 be a better option for me? Have others experienced similar issues?
Download each driver from its respective chipset maker such as Realtek, AMD, etc.
I often face issues when attempting to install Intel LAN drivers from both Asus and Intel, receiving warnings about unsupported OS and missing Intel adapters. Despite this, the built-in adapter functions correctly under Windows 10.
This link provides the driver for Intel network adapters on Windows Server 2019.
This driver produces the same issue as before, stating that the Intel Adapter is not installed.
