Hello! In short, my new GPU wasn’t working in the top PCIe slot while the bottom one worked. I attempted to set it to PCIE mode GEN 3 instead of auto or GEN4 and it resolved the problem. Could anyone explain why my older 6-7 years XFX 550w PSU might be involved? From the benchmarks, the FPS difference between PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 isn’t huge. I spent a lot of time trying various fixes before switching to GEN 3 settings. I need to sleep soon—sorry for the messy post! Here are my specs: Windows 11 64bit, ASUS Prime X570-P, RTX3060, dual 16GB DDR4, XFX 550w PRO.

It could simply be a minor technical quirk related to being a PCIe 3.0 device. Our reasoning and past experiences suggest you should be able to use a PCIe Gen3 card in a PCIe Gen4 slot, though perhaps there are differences between Gen4 and Gen3 that block it.

Interesting point, based on the information from the site, I bought it with the GPU box Asus GeForce DUAL-RTX3060-O12G-V2. It uses PCIe 4.0, though I might be mistaken. Thanks for your response!

Absolutely, that's right. It's a Gen 4 card.
