Hi! I just switched my motherboard from a z390-E to a B760-A with a 12700-KF. Everything worked fine before, but now the PC isn’t detecting Ethernet. A few things to remember: I still use the same boot SSD and SSDs that had games on them. My build (maybe?) includes an RTX Zotac 4060 with 32 GB DDR4, 550 psu, and black/blue SSDs. Let me know if you need more help!

Restarting Windows again is recommended, particularly when switching from Intel to AMD or another architecture.

Would you need to do it even if it's Intel to Intel?

It relies on the number of generations between the chips. In my view, reinstall after each new CPU works, though it isn't a strict rule.

Open Device Manager via Windows +X. Devices marked with yellow require drivers. Visit your motherboard manufacturer's site, enter your model, and download the corresponding chipset driver. Install it and restart. Next, get the Ethernet driver and any additional drivers from Device Manager. If you lack internet access, use a connected computer to save driver files on a USB drive and transfer them to the affected machine.
