Hey there, I see you're dealing with a puzzling setup. The i7 6800k does indeed have 28 PCIe lanes, but your configuration seems to be causing some confusion. You mentioned using two NVMe ports and a Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe drive, yet it's not recognizing both at once. It might be a combination issue or something with the motherboard settings. Double-check your BIOS and ensure all connections are secure. Let me know if you need further help!

It should function even with limited lanes. Are you confident you selected the right drive for the slot?

They both have m.2 NVMe storage, which is unusual since only one seems functional at a time. The setup feels confusing with the way they require me to handle them. The sole working port is the lower m.2, while the nearest one near the CPU isn't usable.

It's conceivable the device has an issue, or the CPU's PCIe connections aren't functioning correctly. Both scenarios are likely in this situation, though the latter seems more probable.

It's the only solution I've managed to find on my own. I've tried turning off wifi and bluetooth adapters, checked various settings, and even updated the latest bios. The issue still doesn't work. Could be something else is affecting it. If anyone has suggestions, it might mean I'm missing a factor. I was using some sata drives, removed them, and disabled the controller, but that didn't help either. Thanks.
