Issues with artifacts, bad loads, and glitched textures in games
Hello, I've been working on fixing some issues in games for the past month.
CPU
AMD 5600 is usually overclocked with PBO enabled. Disabling PBO and setting clocks to stock didn't help. Clocking it didn’t resolve the problem.
RAM
Silicon Power 3200MHz, 32GB, two kits (8*2) – all passed testing with MemTest86 on each stick individually and together. The same applies when XMP is enabled or turned off.
Motherboard
Gigabyte B550 M. DS3H AC, running BIOS version F20D. Updating the BIOS didn’t fix it. Resetting CMOS also didn’t help.
PSU
Thermal Take GF3 750W – brand new. I recently upgraded to it. Previously used a Thermaltake ToughPower GX2. The same problem exists with both.
SSDs
ADATA Legend 800, 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVMe, main drive for Windows, plus a P3 500GB PCIe 3.0 4x secondary drive.
GPUs
NVIDIA RTX 4070 Super MSI Ventus 3x, current driver version 572.47. Reinstalling drivers in Safe Mode didn’t solve the issues. Using older drivers still caused the same problems.
Tried under-clocking VRAM but faced similar issues with MSI Afterburner. Sent it back for repair, but problems persisted.
Also, an X570 10GB is having some issues, though not all, and much less severe. I switched to DDU in Safe Mode when switching GPUs.
I reinstalled Windows 11 from a USB drive after re-downloading games, but the problems continued. I disassembled and reassembled the whole computer without fixing anything.
Here are some videos showing the issues:

This only occurs with the NVIDIA card.

This happens exclusively with the NVidia GPU.

Please help – I’ve tried everything I could think of, and it’s really confusing.
AM5 is a robust platform, and if you're not keen on further troubleshooting, it's worth considering a switch. You should also expect improved performance based on the CPU you choose. Regarding your existing components, I'd like to verify whether the issue lies with the CPU or the motherboard. If you proceed...
I forgot to turn off frame gen in Spidey but it still occurs even after turning it off. The issue persists with any upscaler or AA I try.
Consider some alternatives. Disable all upscaling if another PCIe slot is free or use a different machine for testing. This will help confirm the GPU functions properly outside the affected system. Updating your motherboard BIOS might be useful, and ensure resizable bar and above 4g encoding are activated.
Thank you for your assistance. Disabling upscaling still produces the same artifacts. My motherboard has two slots and both lead to identical results. The latest BIOS update is already installed, and Rebar is enabled. Unfortunately, I don’t know anyone else with a computer. Also, this artifact appears on both GPUs—what does that imply?
first of the bat could be system memory your using 2 kits of 8x2 which can be problematic even if its the same vendor theres zero guarantee that it wont cause issues.
also try this disable gpu acceleration on windows i have issues with it with hogwarts legacy causing artifcacts and slow down.
Open Settings
Select System
Select Display
Scroll down and click Graphics
Click Change default graphics settings
Toggle off the switch for Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling
Restart your computer
make sure its rendering at the proper resolution
any upscaling is completely turned off hdr etc.
also you can try turning rebar on. which can help some games its found in bios.
I’d definitely look into the GPU scheduling as mentioned by beyondlogic, and do you happen to have another CPU from the 3000 series or newer? It might help to swap CPUs to see if performance changes. Also, for fun, do you have a soft brush on hand? You could gently clean out the PCIE slot and wipe the contact pins on the GPU.
I attempted the gpu scheduling method you recommended—it improved lods and texture quality somewhat. However, flickering objects still persisted. It could be related to the game itself, as similar problems appear in Red Dead Redemption 2. Regarding memory, I cleared all but one drive without using XMP just to ensure stability, but the issues continued. I also tried setting up individual 2*8GB RAM configurations, yet the problem remained.
