When my monitor powers down, it repeatedly switches between no signal (silent) and signal (audible) – yet the screen remains black as expected. This pattern repeats every minute or two minutes. It frustrates me because I couldn’t resolve it on my own and there’s no help online. Before anyone suggests changing power settings, I did – grounding works too, whether using a grounded or ungrounded plug. Everything functions normally. I tested with two monitors, three different cables, and one HDMI cable, but the issue continues. My TV also shows the same behavior when set as the main display (monitor off). But when only the monitor and TV are off, the problem disappears, even if I disconnect the secondary display cable. This is really annoying, A.F.
Not sure about handling that or its effect. At first it looked like the problem was fixed, but I don’t understand why it stopped. Besides regular Windows 10 updates, no other changes were made. I’m confused about what to say. I think maybe the hibernation cycles are involved—sometimes long sleep periods can cause issues. It could be related.
