Issues with accessing the boot menu?
There is a boot tab at the top with the provided link. I now possess two CD/DVD drives—one internal and one external connected via USB. These devices aren't listed in any boot configuration. Additionally, I have two SATA drives, which should be present in the directory structure.
ADVD-RAM is your optical drive. (cool name BTW, LOL) Set it as the first boot option, so you can start from it on the next restart. Make sure only a single drive is connected during Windows installation.
Initially, thank you for your assistance. My familiarity with PC hardware has dwindled significantly since the last system was assembled in 2008, when the mainboard was still used. Nowadays, UEFI is standard. I attempted to connect an internal Asus DVD drive (loosely linked), but it failed to be recognized. Then I tried a Rioddas external drive, which worked. I was prompted by rgd101 to check the manual, but the shopkeeper did not provide the documentation that came with the equipment. I obtained the manual for H610M-HDVM.2, which turned out to be quite inadequate. I realized later that I could navigate drives through the menu using the mouse—a feature not described in the manual. Still, there was no explanation for why the internal ASUS drive wasn’t selected.
The situation stems from recent Windows crashes, prompting me to create a backup image. I suspect these crashes are linked to a program named SyncBackFree, which appears to trigger only when used. In the past, I relied on Norton Ghost, which proved fast, efficient, and dependable. Now I require updated imaging tools.
I own a 500G NVME card and two 2,500G SSDs (C, D, E). I could back up data to any of these storage options, or even to a bootable DVD or flash drive.
This is my main strategy moving forward, alongside learning about Windows 11 and UEFI technology.
