Issues with a slow and stuttering computer after one month of use.
I've assembled a brand new PC about a month ago. I've been using it every day without any problems, but three days ago I noticed it started taking longer to start up—about five minutes, sometimes more. During boot, it would randomly freeze, even after refreshing, and it kept lagging for over three days. Now I have to wait 15 to 30 minutes after turning it on before I can use it properly.
For gaming, everything is fine—FPS is stable and performance is normal, though there are occasional stutters that aren’t concerning. I looked up solutions on YouTube and tried several optimization methods, but nothing helped. My system specs are decent, so it should handle regular tasks without lag. I ran multiple scans for malware or viruses, but found none. I also checked my drive and defragmented it, but still no issues.
Specs:
- Ryzen 5 3600
- B450M Pro R2.0
- 16GB (8x2) DDR4 3200MHz (XMP enabled)
- RX 5700 XT
- 650W PSU
- 500GB HDD
I’m worried about losing my data and am considering a full reset of Windows and a complete system reboot. Any advice?
Hello, your purchase of an NVMe SSD was successful. However, it seems the device isn't being recognized by Windows or the BIOS. Check if the connection is secure and try a different port or cable. If the issue persists, consult the manufacturer's support for further assistance.
Nothing really. I ran out of HDD storage before facing stuttering problems, but after uninstalling some big games I have 120GB free, the issues still persist. I’d like to mention that my HDD doesn’t get airflow since it’s on the right side of the panel—maybe it’s overheating?

use the m2_2 version instead of m2_1
The system is functioning properly now. Decide whether to perform a fresh installation on the SSD or simply transfer your existing HDD files to the SSD.
