Hello, I used to run my pc with a pirated windows, but I had ordered a product key 3 months ago, I activated it and windows even confirmed that It had been activated successfully. But out of curiosity I wanted check what's my current key, I downloaded an app that would let me do that and I saw that they don't match. So I activated my windows with the key again, but it then turned the key to "CD Key: BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB", the key I ordered is " XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-46YQB" TLDR; I want to activate a genuine key, but something is wrong and windows won't let me.

It seems the KMS emulator was likely used to bypass Windows activation. While that might seem excessive, a fresh installation would ensure no remnants remain. You never really know what changes it could make to your system.

I'm not upset since I'm running a cloned OS from Intel on an AMD system right now

Yes, you can reinstall the operating system while keeping your Steam games on the SSD.

The installer detects another installation and prompts to save files in the Windows.old directory on that partition. It’s a good idea to move any items you wish to keep safely.
