Who else is stuck with all the issues in Windows 8? I’m getting frustrated because I still have a few .dll problems that won’t go away. There are many small annoyances with programs and Metro apps that really bother me.
Windows 8, 8.1 and 8.1 Update 1 function well on all my machines, including my five-year-old laptop. Be precise about the missing DLL, but typically it looks like Xquisite says: -> You might need Visual C++ Redistributable 32 and/or 64-bit: (2013) http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/...x?id=40784 (2012) http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/...x?id=30679 (2010) http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/...px?id=5555 (2008) http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/...aspx?id=29 (2005) http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/...px?id=3387 Of course, the required version depends on the DLL error you encounter. -> You may also need DirectX End-User Runtime http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/...aspx?id=35 -> .NET 3.5 Framework (4.0 is included in Win8) Open Programs and Features panel. On the left, click Turn Windows feature on or off. A panel will appear, check the box: .NET Framework 3.5. Click OK. Your computer should restart afterward. Usually, the app or game you install should contain these files so there’s nothing extra to do. If not, simply add it and run the installer provided.
