I recently assembled my initial PC (component list) and encountered a problem. To run my MSI B550 Gaming Plus motherboard with my Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, I needed to update the BIOS. I followed MSI’s online guide, but it failed, so I returned the board under warranty for them to handle the update. They fixed it and verified everything was operational. Once I received the board back, I started building my system. The process went well until I powered it on. Although the RGB lights were active and fans spun, no output appeared on the monitor. The HDMI cable connected to the GPU as expected, which seemed like the main issue. After checking, I noticed the CPU Diagnostic LED was lit on the motherboard. Given that the board is a likely failure point, I confirmed with MSI they tested it and it should be functional. They recommended replacing the CPU. On AMD’s site, I found their warranty information and submitted a claim, but the form asked for a company name I didn’t have. I contacted their support team via their website, explaining my situation. They suggested testing my PC with another confirmed working CPU, which I don’t possess. I informed them of this and waited without any reply. I’m seeking a fix for my PC or guidance on obtaining warranty coverage for my CPU and arranging its replacement.

No, I didn't touch any CPU pins on that 5600X.

Consider putting the CPU back in and letting it operate for a bit longer to see if it stabilizes. After running it briefly on the monitor, it didn’t respond and displayed no output.

This seems to be an unfamiliar topic. I haven’t encountered it before, so I’ll proceed with the attempt despite my prior knowledge.

Could this clarify what the CPU diagnostic light indicates?

I left it running for more than an hour and a half, but the issue persists. Could you assist?
