I've been using this computer for more than nine years, and it's functioning well enough for my current tasks. But I consistently face internet problems only with this specific device. Issues include: 1) The Ethernet link on the motherboard frequently reports "No Connection" and actually disconnects all uploads/downloads, causing games to drop off and the browser to fail. It seems the connection starts and stops unpredictably, even after rebooting or reinstalling drivers. 2) Switching to a different PCIe network card didn't help. 3) Using a USB WiFi adapter produced a different outcome—connection appears only after reinstalling its drivers via CD. Sometimes available networks disappear entirely during use or reboots. The only reliable fix is reinstalling the drivers from CD, which consistently resolves the matter. Steps I've tried: 1) Switched to another network card 2) Used a USB WiFi adapter 3) Updated BIOS and Intel firmware via latest downloads from ASUS website (releases in 2013, 2012, 2015) 4) Updated chipset via ASUS site (latest available 2015) 5) Ran Windows updates and driver updates through Windows Update 7) Applied all driver updates via Windows Update 8) Installed the USB adapter drivers from CD (the only solution that actually worked, though not a permanent fix).
