Issues in CS:GO
Hello everyone, At first I planned to use this computer only for work, but soon I realized I wanted to play games. The K2200 graphics card didn’t deliver the performance I needed for casual gaming. I decided to add a GTX 970 as the top PCI slot and kept the K2200 on a lower one. After setting everything up, playing CS:GO still caused laggy moments or game freezes. This issue isn’t present with other games I play. I also tried using just the GTX970 without any changes, but the problem remained. At first I thought it was related to drivers, but even after reinstalling the latest ones, it didn’t fix things. Someone mentioned Nvidia Experience could be the cause, but uninstalling it didn’t help. I also attempted to reinstall CS:GO without success. There’s a possibility of memory sharing problems, though I’m not sure how that affects performance. If anyone has suggestions or solutions, it would be really appreciated!
I've tried playing at low settings with V-sync turned off, but the issue persists. My internet speed seems normal.
I was also thinking about whether the problem might come from my screen, but I don’t think so. It’s an ASUS VS24AH-P 24" IPS panel with a 5ms response time. Also, are you connecting the DVI cable to a DVI display port adapter and then back into the GTX970?
Check sv_graph 1 for detailed latency insights. It displays CPU and GPU performance along with internet speed. The sv_host reflects client responsiveness, while ping measures connection speed.
