Problem description revised:
Today my PC stops connecting via Display port and the GPU fans reach maximum speed. I need to restart it. This typically occurs about a minute after gaming or after roughly 20 minutes of watching videos. I haven’t made any changes except for updating my ASUS Armoury Crate yesterday, which worked fine. Since this started today, I’ve tried updating Windows and the GPU drivers. It’s unclear what’s causing the issue—it might be related to the graphics card. I’m checking Event Viewer for clues but don’t know where to focus. Any assistance would be very helpful!

No details about the viewer were provided, making it hard to identify what needs attention. Please paste the specific errors you're encountering so helpers can assist effectively. Consider removing the armoury crate to check if the problem continues.

Check system events or application events. The error indicates the description for Event ID 14 isn't available, possibly due to missing installation or corruption. You may need to reinstall or fix the component. If it happened on another machine, ensure the display details were saved with the event.

A GPU driver issue may stem from a missing or outdated library function, often found in DLL files. The problem could arise if the software is corrupted or absent. Try using DDU, download the installer, and follow the steps to reinstall the latest GPU drivers. Restart your computer without shutting it down completely—clean boot mode helps. After logging in, check for driver updates to see if they resolve the issue. An update from Armoury Crate might have caused the problem.

Another approach that has worked for some users is disabling hardware scheduling or acceleration. The guide explains how to turn it on or off, though it may not fully resolve the problem. You can check the link provided for detailed instructions.

I removed Armoury Crate entirely and that resolved the problem. No crashes have occurred since then. If it happens again, I’ll definitely try the other solutions you suggested. Appreciate your assistance.
