i cut right through it—this has been a real headache for years. it shows up on various systems, houses, and even new configurations without any prior setup changes, and it keeps happening. sometimes, without any input, a few usb devices just disconnect. in vr, everything connected to the headset or peripherals drops unexpectedly, messing with my eye tracking and running software like Ranipal. I have to restart my computer to get things back on track. It’s incredibly annoying. i’ve reinstalled windows, switched from intel to amd, upgraded the graphics card and motherboard. honestly, it’s driving me crazy to the point where i might stop playing pc games altogether. everything i receive for my machine just doesn’t perform as expected or works at all. hearing that sound keeps me up late. god, i hate it. why does microsoft not make their sound effects any better? anyway, i’m going to try updating to a top-tier cpu to see if that helps. if not, i’ll give up. i think i should post this here so someone can suggest a possible reason why it keeps showing up across five different systems despite all the changes i’ve made. for now, my specs are: 3900x msi rtx 3070 gaming z trio, gskil 2x16gb, 3600mhz cl16 ram, asus crosshair, octa-core cpu with a 360mm cooling loop from ekwb. it stays cool enough. i also have a 2tb wd sn850 drive and an 8tb wd blue hdd, paired with a 1000w evga bq gold fully modular psu. any suggestions would be appreciated. i’m really worried about having to dismantle this pc again if it doesn’t work out.
Zen experienced USB problems which were resolved by updating to Agesa 1.2.0.7. Update your BIOS. Install the newest AMD chipset drivers from the official site. Avoid linking powerful drawing USB devices to the front IO ports. Inspect your power lines, house wiring, and voltage levels. Ensure good grounding and stable power supply.
