Hello, helpful team. We face a challenge with my son's gaming PC. He planned an upgrade thinking there was insufficient SSD space and limited RAM. His setup includes an ASUS ROG STRIX B450 E Gaming board, two Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL DDR4 3200MHz RAM sticks, and a 2TB Kingston NV1 NVMe M.2 SSD. After replacing the old drive and installing Windows 10, everything functioned well. During the Windows setup, it booted successfully. When he increased the memory to 3200MHz in BIOS, the screen went dark and a yellow indicator appeared near the memory chips (next to socket A1). We attempted to reset CMOS, adjusted the clock via jumper, removed and reinserted RAM sticks, and changed the power supply. Despite these efforts, the issue persists—lights flash on memory cards and graphics cards during startup, fans spin, but the screen remains black except for the yellow light. My son is very grateful for your assistance in resolving this problem.
Place the small diag speaker in the FP header. The sounds will indicate what’s happening. Each tone has a unique pattern: one for memory errors, another for missing memory. It will confirm whether memory is detected or if there are issues within the first 64kb of memory the system inspects at startup. Use a fresh CMOS and install one stick in slot A2, the second position. Allow the board to settle—wait a few minutes. Check if the memory recognizes the stick.
