Hello everyone, I recently assembled a new PC two days ago. Here are the specifications: Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix Z690 E Gaming, WiFi Processor: Intel I9 12900K, SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + 1 SSD + 2 HDDs (no RAID), Graphics: EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING, RAM: G-Skill Trident 5R RGB 32GB, Power Supply: Gigabyte Aorus 850W (lost my cables for the Bequiet 850, will replace it again), Monitor: iO AI OLED.

My issue is that I can't restart or shut down the PC. It's difficult to recreate the situation, but here are some examples:
- Yesterday I played Warzone and tried to shut it down after finishing a session, but no matter how many times I clicked the button, nothing happened.
- Sometimes when installing drivers or uninstalling software, the process stalls or stops, and when trying to restart, Windows stays in a blue screen newstart window.
- When closing Battle.net, nothing happens.
- After plugging in a new USB drive, the file explorer loaded extremely slowly—like a 100MHz processor. I experienced this a few times during hard shutdowns followed by restarts; only RAM and AIO lights turned on, but nothing else.
- In BIOS, I tried XMP1 and Auto Mode, enabled multiclocking, and disabled fast boot, that's about it.

I installed drivers via Asus Amoury and also directly from Evga/Nvidia, but after uninstalling most Asus software again, nothing changed. The SSD is from my old PC and was fine.

Any suggestions on where to look for help? Thanks a lot.

Updating the BIOS often helps fix these problems. It's better to download the chipset drivers directly from ASUS rather than using Armoury Crate. Did you reinstall Windows after moving the SSD? A fresh installation would be best for such issues.

I might start with a clean setup of Windows. It seems like a file might be damaged. I feel this is connected to software issues.

I believe I identified the issue. After using a fresh installation with a new SSD (980pro), everything functioned properly. Then I attempted to install Veracrypt as before, but right after it failed again. It seems there might be a conflict between Veracrypt and the system or its components. Appreciate your advice!
