Issues encountered during the process of installing Windows 11 from scratch?
I am not very familiar with technology, but I attempted to set up a new Windows 11 installation on my laptop. It is an HP Pavilion x360 with a 119GB Samsung SSD. I completed all the necessary steps and used a formatted USB drive to install Windows 11. However, when I try to boot from the USB, I encounter this error: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks."
Check this guide (pay attention to the part about deleting existing partitions):
How To - Windows 11 clean install tutorial
This tutorial aims to assist you, step by step, in carrying out a clean installation of Windows 11, version 23H2 or later. It can also be used for earlier versions, though some visual differences may exist.
Online it mentioned formatting the USB stick, which I did, but it says about deleting a partition—this option is grayed out for me, so I can't delete any partition. I also attached photos of the BIOS menu from my laptop. It states that Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The setup doesn’t support configuring or installing on disks connected via USB or IEEE 1394 port.
Can anyone please help me with some steps (which I will understand lol)?
Many thanks
You don't have to worry about formatting the USB drive. The provided installer handles that automatically.
The partitions you need to remove are on the existing SSD or HDD, not the USB key where the installation media is kept.

What changes are necessary? The original setup doesn't work properly. During the installation, SSD isn't recognized. A screenshot indicates only a USB flash drive was detected, not an SSD. You must install the NVMe driver through Windows. It might be helpful to turn off Secure Boot in BIOS. You can obtain the NVMe driver from the Gigabyte Windows USB installer. Follow the provided link and steps to download, extract, and apply the driver during installation. Please note the NVMe driver is general-purpose and works with Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11.
What model of the HP Pavilion x360 do you own? While

shared some useful details, I haven’t ever needed to install a NVME driver on any Windows 11 system. It’s unclear why an HP would require that. Check this video; it aligns with what

suggested. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpGSgGnR74o
In the BIOS setup, is your storage configured as RAID? If this were my setup and I had my files backed up (this is crucial), I would use Gparted via a Live USB to erase all partitions on the system. After that, I would begin the Windows installation according to the instructions provided earlier.
